Wednesday, 30th March 2011 By Chris Bennett

It has been announced US music megastars, The Black Eyed Peas, are set to perform at the Alton Towers Resort this summer.

This is the second concert date to be announced at the resort for 2011. Also coming up is Alton Towers Live, a pop extravaganza with JLS, McFly, The Saturdays, Eliza Doolittle and Charlotte O'Connor taking to the stage at the UK's favourite theme park on Sunday 19th June.

The Black Eyed Peas concert will take place on Wednesday 6th July at the Resort.

Dominique Sidley, event director at Alton Towers, said: "The Black Eyed Peas are music royalty and we are thrilled to have them at the Alton Towers Resort.

"This is set to be a sensational event, combining a world renowned theme park with a world famous music act. With the combined two-day ticket which includes the array of rides and attractions and entry to the amazing concert, this is definitely one not to miss."

Tickets go on general sale this Friday (1st April) at 9am. Priced at £80 + booking fee they include the concert and two-day entry to the theme park.

It's worth noting that annual passes aren't valid for entry to the park on either of the announced concert dates, admission will be reserved for concert goers only. Those with Premium Annual Passes can purchase discounted concert-only tickets, however Standard passholders will have to pay the full price.
