Alton Towers regularly plays host to a variety of special events. In the past we've seen concerts from Tina Turner, Wet Wet Wet and Bryan Adams, and even a show from the Royal Marines Commandos. More recent events include an homage to The Sound of Music and a Scooby Doo based event.

Unofficial events are organised by external groups, with the permission and cooperation of Alton Towers.

February Half-Term

The park was open between 10am and 4pm during this week-long event, with most of the in-season rides operating.

The following rides are the ones not available: Battle Galleons, Charlie, Congo River Rapids, Enterprise, Haunted Hollow, Ripsaw, Rita - Queen of Speed, Sky Ride, Submission, The Beastie and The Flume.

Entry, when booked in advance, was £14.40 for adults and £8 for children.
On-the-day prices were £18 for adults and £10 for children.

Christian Concert (unofficial)

Now in its 16th year, the Ultimate Events concert will see thousands of young Christians turn up at Alton Towers.

Guests able to enjoy the theme park during the day, before heading to the purpose-built arena in the evening.

P!nk Concert

P!nk's Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour will be coming to the Alton Towers Resort this summer.

Alton Towers Scarefest

The Halloween Scarefest event, now into its fourth year, was back in October 2010.

Details of the event aren't yet known, but there will certainly be scare mazes involved as well as many less-scary attractions for the kiddies.

Adrenaline Week

Adrenaline Week rounds out the open season for the theme park.

Traditionally there is a limited ride line-up available, and the park will be open from 10am to 4pm.
