Scarefest '08 begins

Resort News
Friday, 17th October 2008 By Dan Ketteringham

The resort's two-week Hallowe'en festival, the Alton Towers Scarefest, kicks off today.

The event is on from now until Sunday 2nd November.

Included in this year's line-up are the scare mazes Terror of the Towers, Field of 1000 Screams: The Aftermath and The Boiler House. The park will be open until 9pm throughout the event, allowing guests to experience many of the park's rides in the dark.

The full details about the Scarefest event can be found in this news item.

Continuing the trend from last year, there's also a Scarefest-spec park map which shows you the location and "scare factor" of the various Hallowe'en attractions. It also features a nice nod to the soon-to-be-retired Corkscrew. See the new map in our gallery.

Keep an eye on our Scarefest album over the next two weeks, as we'll be adding new photos to it as the event progresses.
