Henry the Hound returns

Park News
Sunday, 22nd May 2005 By Dan Ketteringham

Alton Towers is set to bring back an old mascot in less than 2 weeks' time.

Henry the Hound is going to return to the Towers on Saturday, 4th June. It is unclear at this point if Henry will be returning permanently.

Henry was introduced as the park's mascot back in the Eighties, and would perform parades to entertain guests several times a day. He was originally removed from the line-up in 1993 because of members of the public verbally and physically abusing the actors playing the character, and to allow Peter Rabbit to take centre stage in the Ice Show.

ATA welcomes this move as another sign that the current management are taking positive steps forward in improving the overall experience for visitors.
