The Smiler opening delayed
With less than 24 hours to go, Alton Towers announce that its newest rollercoaster won't be opening on time.
The ride, which had been scheduled to open to the public on Thursday 23rd May, is the latest addition to the resort's already strong line-up of thrilling rollercoasters.
At the moment there is no confirmation of any new scheduled opening date, other than "May 2013".
An FAQ has been put up for those who have already booked tickets for tomorrow.
Alton Towers commented: "If you have any immediate questions, please visit [the FAQ] for the most up to date information - we will ensure the latest details are posted on this page on a regular basis."
