The Smiler opening date confirmed

The latest rollercoaster to be added to Alton Towers' line-up will open to the public on Thursday 23rd May.

The date was announced on Alton Towers' official Twitter account a short while ago.

With the grand opening just two weeks away, the park will have their work cut out to ensure everything is ready in time.

The Smiler, codenamed "Secret Weapon 7" or SW7, follows in the footsteps of Nemesis (SW3), Oblivion (SW4), Air (SW5) and Th13teen (SW6).
