Thrill Laboratory event details

The dates, times and cost of the Thrill Experiment on Oblivion have now been confirmed.

Brendan Walker and his team of Thrill Engineers will be at the park in around three weeks time, to test the reactions of those brave enough to ride the world's first vertical drop roller coaster.

Event: Thrill Laboratory - Oblivion, Alton Towers

Background: Be a part of the UK's largest and most comprehensive study of thrill seekers at the forthcoming Thrill Laboratory event!

Led by the World's only thrill engineer, Brendan Walker, a series of psychological and physiological experiments will be taking place on our Oblivion ride to enable calculation of 'the thrill factor'. Experience the tests at first hand, and view the results for yourself!

Dates: Wednesday 19th September, Thursday 20th September, Friday 21st September
Sessions x 3 each day
10:00 - 11:45
13:00 - 14:45
16:00 - 17:45

Cost: Free! We just require around 2 hours of your time. Please note that you will still be required to pay for entry to the theme park.

Requirements: We need 8 volunteers for each session on the three days. Volunteers will be required to wear specific equipment to monitor their personal response to Oblivion.

NB Volunteers must sign a disclaimer pre-arrival and may also be required to be take part in any associated PR as a result of the event. Details of this event are subject to change.

Email thrill.lab@alton-towers.com to volunteer with your preferred date and time slot. First come, first served. Those who have already registered interest will be given first refusal.
