Park opening brought forward

Park News
Friday, 6th January 2006 By Dan Ketteringham

Alton Towers will almost certainly open a little earlier than expected this year.

Cadbury have hired the entire theme park out on March 18th for their staff, as part of the celebrations of 100 years of the 'Dairy Milk' brand.

This has meant that all the seasonal Alton Towers park staff will need to be hired ready for work on that date. With all the seasonal staff starting work on the 18th, it seems the park have decided to run something similar to last year's "Adrenaline Week" and have limited rides open between March 19th and March 31st, with the rest of the park opening as planned on April 1st.

Financially, the move makes sense as Adrenaline Week was definitely considered a success. With the ride staff already in place for closed season work, the rides cost relatively small amounts to run.

We will let you know as and when this is confirmed by the park.
