Black Hole - The Last Goodbye!

After 21 seasons of bone rattling, scream inducing action, The Black Hole will run for the final time on Saturday 5th March.

To give the ride the send off it deserves, Alton Towers will be holding an exclusive event, which will include the opportunity to be the very last person ever to ride The Black Hole!

When: Saturday 5th March

Where: Corporate Hospitality Suite, Alton Towers Theme Park

Schedule:

  • Arrive at 12.30pm (Park on Coach Park and enter via Admissions)
  • Welcome drinks in CHS from 12.30pm - 1.00pm
  • Lunch served between 1.00pm and 2.00pm
  • Presentation by Terry Dunn, Head of Engineering from 2.00pm - 2.30pm
  • Last ride in the dark between 2.30pm and 3.30pm
  • Ride with the lights on between 3.30pm and 4.00pm
  • Last ride EVER at 4.00pm
  • All depart
Price: £40 per ticket

A draw will take place following the presentation - all attendees names will be placed in a hat and the first 6 pulled out will be the last ever riders on the Black Hole! This is a priceless opportunity for true fans of the ride!!

To express interest and reserve your place, please email blackhole@alton-towers.com. Places are limited and are strictly first come, first served. There is a minimum number required to run the event.

Later in the season, the park will be auctioning off ride signage and other memorabilia for charity. In the meantime, they would like your memories please! Send an email to the address above with your Black Hole ride photos, experiences or poems, and they may be incorporated in to a Black Hole Memory Board, which will be displayed for the duration of the season.
Please note - by emailing your memories to the park, you grant them permission to use them in future publicity or promotional material.
