New launched roller coaster in 2005

Park News
Wednesday, 20th October 2004 By Dan Ketteringham

2005 is shaping up to be a very good season, as the park have confirmed that their latest attraction will be a launched roller coaster that will go from 0 - 62mph in just 2.8 seconds!

The park have codenamed the new ride Project Rita, and it will be situated in what is currently Ug Land. Manufactured by renowned company Intamin, the new ride will be the first of its kind in the UK.

Rita is planned to open on the first day of the 2005 open season, March 12th. Nobody is quite sure what the theme of the new ride will be, but the banners advertising the development seem to point towards a racing-style theme.

Yet to be confirmed is the layout of the ride, but some sources suggest that there may well be at least one inversion (a vertical loop), and possibly some other inversions too.

We will keep you posted on any exciting new developments on the construction site!
