The ROAR event of 2001 is a similar event to the Fearsome Five event a year earlier.

Ride the six most intense rides in the park, and be rewarded with a specially mixed music compact disc. To win the CD you must ride Oblivion, Nemesis, Submission, Ripsaw, Black Hole and Corkscrew, and get a stamp card stamped at the exit of each ride.

This year was a little different though, as from 3pm, in the courtyard in Merrie England, entertainment was provided in the form of a DJ playing the latest tunes, a barbecue, and a foam machine.

The compact disc that was reward for completing the challenge had the following track list:

• Bomfunk MC's - Uprocking Beats
• Ruff Driverz presents Arrola - La Musica
• Wicked Phunker - Jungle Boogie
• Chris Bangs featuring Rita Campbell - Warm Weather
• Bentley Rhythm Ace - Bentley's Gonna Sort You Out
• Destiny's Child - Say My Name

The new format of the event is better than previous years, as now at least there is entertainment to go along with the collection of your prize.
